The conference on near-rings and near-fields in 2007 will be organized
by the Institute of Algebra
at the Johannes Kepler University Linz,
Austria.

Conference fees
The conference fee is 80 EUR per participant of the scientific
program and 30 EUR per accompanying person.
It includes the evening reception on Monday, July 23rd, the
excursion to Gmunden on Wednesday, July 25th, and the social dinner
on Friday, July 27th.
The fee for the excursion to Steyr on Thursday, July 26th, is
15 EUR.

We ask you arrange your accommodation by yourself.

We have reserved a certain amount of rooms
at
the hotel
Sommerhaus-Julius Raab Heim, which is in
about 10 minutes' walking distance from
the university campus.
The double room is EUR 66 per night, the single room
EUR 35 per night; breakfast is included.
These rooms can be reserved through
the university's room reservation service

and will be given away on a first come-first served
basis until May 31st.

Please note that the university campus is situated at
the North-East end of Linz and can be reached by

How to submit the title of your talk and your abstract
We ask you to submit the title of your talk and your abstract to
the ATLAS of mathematical conference abstracts
(http://atlas-conferences.com/cgi-bin/abstract/submit/catw-01)
by July, 10th, 2007.
After acceptance, the abstract can be viewed at
http://atlas-conferences.com/cgi-bin/abstract/catw-01.
The lecture hall is equipped with two blackboards, an overhead projector,
a computer, and a video beamer that can all be used in parallel.
If you want to use our computer during your presentation,
we ask you to bring a .pdf-file on a CD-ROM, DVD, or a USB-stick.
In case you use a computer, please contact the organizers
in time so that we can make sure that your presentation can
be shown in the way you planned.
Workshop
Preceding the conference, there will be a
workshop
"An Introduction to Near-rings and Closed Function Systems".
This workshop is intended to give an introduction into the theory
of near-rings, its connections to the theory of clones,
and the computer-aided investigation of function near-rings.

- How to reach Linz by train: The train schedules can be

From the main train station of Linz (Hauptbahnhof Linz) proceed as
follows:
- To the university campus: take tram number 1 or 2 from
"Hauptbahnhof" to "Universität"; get out at
"Universität" (the terminal station, it takes 24 min from "Hauptbahnhof" to "Universität") and
cross the road "Altenberger Strasse" (on your left hand side) to reach the university campus.
- To the Hotel Sommerhaus-Julius Raabheim: take
tram number
1 or 2 from "Hauptbahnhof" to "Universität"; get out at
"Universität";Turn right and walk toward the school and continue in this
direction on the small road "Aubrunnerweg" till it ends after some 300 m;
then turn right and you will see a tall building - this is
the Hotel Sommerhaus-Julius Raabheim.
It is a walk of about 600m.

- How to reach Linz by plane: On weekdays (Monday-Saturday)
and once on Sundays (at 16:30),
there
is a shuttle bus from the international "Blue Danube Airport Linz" (LNZ) to
the main train station (Hauptbahnhof Linz). The schedule can be found
at http://www.linz-airport.at/www/ex/download/documents/fahrplan.pdf.
At the train station take tram number 1 or 2 to "Universität"
and
then proceed to the university campus or the Hotel Sommerhaus-Julius
Raabheim as described above. There is also the possibility to take a
taxi at the airport (the cost is approximately 40 EUR).
Furthermore, it may be possible to pick you up at
the airport. Please let us know your
arrival time and flight number.
- How to reach the Hotel Sommerhaus-Julius Raabheim by car:
Coming from the freeway A1, at the freeway intersection
"Knoten Linz" leave the freeway A1. Then you are on the
A7 in the direction Prag-Freistadt. After crossing the Danube river,
take the second exit "Linz-Dornach".
At the traffic lights, turn right
into the "Freistädter Strasse" in direction "Perg, Gallneukirchen".
After roughly 400m, just under the freeway-brigde,
turn left into "Julius Raab Strasse". Follow it and after 450m the tall
building there is the Sommerhaus - Julius Raabheim.
- How to reach the university campus by car:\
Coming from the freeway A1, at the freeway intersection
"Knoten Linz" leave the freeway A1. Then you are on the
A7 in the direction Prag-Freistadt. After crossing the Danube river,
take the second exit "Linz-Dornach".
At the traffic lights, go straight ahead and follow "Altenberger Strasse".
After approximatly 800m and crossing the tram rails and traffic lights,
you see the terminal station of the tram at your right. Straight after the next traffic lights
turn left in the parking site of the university.
